Kevin Newman Takes to the Skies on the "Global National People's Express" Election Jet to Focus on Issues Canadians Care About.

Live from the Lift Locks in Peterborough Ontario on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 5 PM.

We urge everyone in the area to attend this media event. This is a great chance to bring issues to the forefront. We will be there as Ordinary Canadians for the Arts. Everyone concerned with culture and its place in the elections NEEDS TO COME OUT IN SUPPORT !!! We ask that all of you attending the event show up wearing BLACK AND WHITE ONLY. We will provide you with a hot pink OCFTA button on site. That will be our only colour. Let's show Kevin Newman that Peterborough takes this issue very seriously, that we support arts and culture, and that we are united in bringing this our voices to the forefront.

Yes, it's Artsweek in our town, and Saturday October 4th is the date for the annual street party. And Ordinary Canadians for the Arts will be there!!!

What better time to point out the value of arts and culture in our community than at a community street party?

On Saturday, October 4th ....

Wear your OCFTA button. We will be distributing them all day so look out for the Ordinary Canadian on the street.

Talk to people about ABC - Anything But Conservative

Ask people if they appreciate Artsweek, if they do, tell them what Harper is doing to destroy it.

Read comments, stories, and ideas outloud on the street.

We are looking for individuals to take part in the 'media to the streets' event OCFTA is organizing for the street party. We are well equipped with messages from across the country about the value of arts and culture in our communities. We ask you, the Ordinary Canadian, to take part in reading these messages outloud to the public passing by. Drop us an email at ordinarycanadian@gmail.com if you would like to take part. 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour. Whatever you can contribute would be great. And wear BLACK AND WHITE on the day.
